How To Draw a Dolphin
Draw dolphin Step by Step:
Step1: Start with the dolphin's body, dolphins body is wider toward the head and narrower at the tail. Thus, draw a curved line for the upper side of the body. Start by drawing the outline shape of the dolphin's body. It will be wider towards the head and narrower towards the tail.
Step 2: Draw the lower curve for the lower body line as shown in the image. Add A small nose which is also called a rostrum in the case of the whale.
Step 3: Dolphins have a cute tails. Thus, we will draw tail small wave-shaped curve parted in opposite direction.
Step 4: Outline for the dolphin body is ready. Now add a small line for mouth in a manner showing a smile and a circle for eyes.
Step 5: In this step, draw the left side of the flipper. To show the dolphin is in 3/4 view draw a flipper more to the left, curving in the backward direction.
Step 6: For this step draw fin and right flipper both. Draw fin on the top of dolphin curving backward. Draw right flipper more left to the body so that, it will be visible and justice to 3/ view. Both flippers should be towards the lower body and backward curved.
Erase the overlapped lines to make it look realistic.
Step 7: Little away from mouth draw a short split between the top and bottom body portion. Make it a little curvy or following the body shape.
Step 8: To make it look more realistic you can add sun, cloud, and water as shown in the image below. You can also keep it simple as it is with your choice.
Step 9: Add colors according to your drawing. Color your dolphin with a grey color. If you don't have grey then please, mix black with a little white. Color sun with yellow, sky and cloud with sky blue and white, water with dark blue.
Your realistic dolphin drawing is ready to swim and have fun.
How to Draw A Cartoon Dolphin Jumping Out from Water
Step 1: Start to make nice big curve similar to quarter circle. At the left end of curve add small curve for the nose. You can refer image below.
Step 2: Then draw the bottom part of the mouth, for that keep going downward with little strokes. Add small line intersecting mouth in smiling face.
Step 3: Star drawing fin almost triangle-shaped bt little curvy at the same time.
Step 4: Start drawing a long nice curve towards a lower body that is tail, starts to form the end of the fin drawn.
Step 5: Now, at the end draw a tail divided into two parts as shown in the image( it really looking like a leaf). Your cute dolphin body shape is ready.
Step 6: Time to add a few details on the body. Add fin in the front body part and a second one from the lower line of the body.
Step 7: Let's draw the eyes of the dolphin as shown in the image below. Shade the little part to make it look cute and shiny.
Step 8: To make this look picture more complete, draw a few waves, and a drop of water going upward.
Step 9: To look at your drawing complete add a few colors to it. You can refer to the reference given below.
